Covid-19 Update: Nigeria’s Total Cases Rise Above 50,000

The total cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria has hit 50,488 after 593 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.

This is according to daily update of the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC).

It was gathered from the update that Plateau State recorded the highest number of cases, with 186 cases, followed by Lagos State with 182 cases.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) followed with 62 cases.

Other states recorded as follows:
Oyo -27 Delta-25 Rivers-20 Ondo -19 Edo -18, Kaduna -17 Enugu -12 Akwa Ibom-10 Ogun -7, Ogun -7, Abia -6, Gombe-6, Kano-3 Osun -3.

Of the over 50,000 cases, 37,304 patients have been discharged while 985 deaths have been recorded.
