‘Going To Prison Is A Plus For Politicians’ Deputy Speaker Tells Kalu During Visit
Idris Wase, Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives has urged former Abia Governor who was recently released from prison to accept the incident as destiny and that prison experience for any politician is a good thing.
The Deputy Speaker, who represented the House Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila spoke when he led Principal Officers of the House on a solidarity visit to Senate Chief Whip Orji Uzor Kalu domain.
He said the visit was to sympathize with Kalu on what has befell him recently and urged him to put everything before God, as everything happens as pre-designed by Him.
Also while adding to his words of encouragement, the Deputy speaker recollected a saying he learnt from the Late Chief Solomon Lar that as politician shouldn’t fear to go to prison as it is a badge of honour.
He again urged Kalu want you to appreciate what God has done for him and use it for the positive development of the country’s judicial system and for the interest of humanity.
