GOOD NEWS: 87 COVID-19 patients recover in Lagos

Isolation Centers across Lagos State have discharged 87 patients previously undergoing treatment for coronavirus the State.

This statement was made public by the Lagos State Ministry of Health (LSMoH) via a series of tweets on Wednesday.

The patients were said to have recovered after receiving treatment and subsequently testing negative twice for the virus.

The PUNCH reports that those discharged were made up of 40 females and 47 males.

Those discharged include 26 from Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, 24 from Onikan, 12 from Eti-Osa (LandMark),11 from Agidingbi, nine from Gbagada and five LUTH Isolation Centres.

Recall that 5 patients recently died of coronavirus-related complications so that the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the state had risen to 47.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) made this known via its Situation Report 88 published on Wednesday.

The NCDC reports that seven other states recorded 11 COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours.
